Data Output and Dissemination

After analysis has been performed on spatial data, it is important to determine the format in which the information and results are going to be presented; this is known as an output. In the context of geospatial technologies, this is usually in the form of cartographic outputs (i.e., a map) or non-cartographic outputs such as charts, figures, and illustrations. In this section, we will discuss these two main types of outputs that may be produced to disseminate information and aid in the decision-making process, including some important considerations for each.
